Son's River Ranch address is: 1400 Sherrill Rd,  Kingsbury TX, 78638. 

We are located along the banks of the San Marcos River in Kingsbury, TX, just 17 miles South East of San Marcos and approximately 20 miles East of New Braunfels. 

We do not require a reservation to tube or kayak, however to get the best experience we recommend making a reservation ahead of time for one of our cabanas, picnic tables or glamping cabins.

If we are fully booked you are still welcome to come tube or kayak.

Day Cabana Rentals & Riverside Covered Picnic Tables Rentals are from: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Camping & Glamping: 3:30 PM - 11:00 AM.

PLEASE NOTE: Cabana rentals are for day use only unless you have purchased and added the overnight camping option or evening cabana rental. 

Prices vary depending on demand, with weekdays during the fall or spring being the least expensive and holidays weekends in the summer being the most.

 You can have a maximum of 15 people per cabana.  Each additional person (after eight) is $20 - $35 per person depending on the day of the week and season.  

PLEASE NOTE: We are a family friendly environment and require family friendly attire when visiting.

No, we do not allow pets, fireworks or loud music. Also, no glass or styrofoam by the river; please refer to our rental agreement for full list of restrictions.

Swimming, fishing (bring your own gear), beach volleyball, washers, resting in one of the many hammocks under the pecan trees, barbecuing and having a good time!  

There are no life guards on duty, no fence or barrier restricting persons from entering the water and no depth signs. Under water hazards may exist and swimming is at your own risk. Renter is responsible for the safety and well-being of all guests and is responsible for keeping a close watch on all swimmers as well as non-swimmers or persons who may enter or accidentally enter the water. Should the Renter/Responsible party be absent from the Property for any length of time, it is his/her duty to designate another person within his/her party for this responsibility. 

No, though we do rent them.  Buy an Unlimited River Fun Wristband and tube or kayak the river as many times as you like, with shuttle included!

The float goes from Son's River Ranch to Son's Blue River Camp and is Approximately 2 - 3 hours depending on the water level.  Kayaking takes about half the time.

We don't like our guests having to wait long for the shuttles as all!  We will add shuttles as needed to try to keep the wit time to under 15 minutes.

Water shoes to protect your feet, beach towels, charcoal, lighter fluid, BBQ utensils, ice, ice chest, favorite drinks and food, bug repellent and a smile – it’s time to have some fun!  

We discourage bringing private tubes as most are often cheaply produced and made with thin plastic which will leave you stranded should you get a hole in your tube, however, we do offer a Bring Your Own Tube wristband that includes the shuttle ride back to your campsite!

No, with an Unlimited River Fun Wristband, you get to tube or kayak as many times per day as you like!

Life jackets are provided for use on site for free to all customers.

We recommend all children under the age of 16 and weak swimmers to wear a life jacket when kayaking or tubing.  Everyone, including Adults must have a life jacket available when kayaking.  Kids 3 and under are not allowed to kayak.

We do! We have 30 Full bathrooms with hot showers located behind our Glamping Cabins!

Yes, there is a great burger place near the corner of FM 20 and HWY 80. Lockhart is only 16 miles away and has some of Texas’ best BBQ places, same goes for Luling which is only 8 miles from Blue River Camp. 

We sell ice at Son's River Ranch and at Son's Blue River Camp. The closest gas station is only 2.8 miles away at the corner of FM 20 and HWY 80. 

-More than 15 days notice prior to the booking date: 90% refund or credit 

-Between 7 and 14 days prior to the booking date: 50% refund or credit

-Less than 7 days notice prior to the booking date: No refund or credit

-Same day reservation - no refund will be given (less than 7 days)

Rain-checks are made available at our discretion, though typically made only if it is raining hard enough during your reservation stay, for the majority of the time to prohibit the use of activities. Rain-check amounts will be for the exact dollar amount of the original reservation. Any credit will not be refunded and any difference must be paid. 

 All cabanas are riverfront and are well shaded.  See property map for more info.  Kids tend to play all up and down the river. We recommend all kids to wear life jackets.  They are provided for guests to use free of charge. 

Overnight entry for 4 people and up to 1 tent, though up to 8 people may come per tent spot for an additional fee per person.

 No, you may not come early unless you rented a daytime cabana or picnic table for that day or you plan to tube or kayak. 

Not yet at Son's River Ranch, it is first come first serve.
